Abstract
Developing new products is challenging due to ambiguous and uncertain requirements and unclear processes especially for novice development teams. This paper outlines a role-based prototyping approach with an evaluation of eight student design teams. The methodology places prototypes as measure of progress guiding the students on important aspects of fuzzy-front product development. It provides a template of the overall process and tools that emphasizes on slow integration of artifacts via micro logic, getting progressively complex with added methods and guidelines on prototypes and sprints.
