Interested in joining the Design Society and our worldwide community? The Design Society is a research community dedicated to design and the study of design. By joining, you become part of our community. Membership is open to people with recognised qualifications and/or experience in the fields of design research, design practice, design management, and design education.
The membership year runs from July 01 to June 30 of the following year. All memberships expire on June 30 of every year (unless registering for a 2-year membership during the ICED registration process).

The Design Society aims help to build a truly world-wide community for all aspects of development and design, enabling scientists and practitioners from developing countries to join us.
There are four types of personal membership of the Design Society: Honorary Fellow, Fellow, Member and Associate Member.
Group Membership is recommended when there is a group of people in an organisation (e.g. university department) who are, or who wish to become members of the Design Society.
The Design Society is a Charity but the activities of the Society cost money. Membership fees give good value to the member and income to run the Society. In particular maintaining the website, ...
