The 28th DfX Symposium 2017

Each year, the German-language "DfX Symposium" is held, at alternating host universities around Germany. In 2017, The DfX Symposium took place in Bamberg. Over 50 participants experienced an interesting and exciting conference. The main topics of the symposium were Data Mining, Human Centered Product Development / Digital Human Models in Product Development, Tolerances / Robust Design, Lightweight Design and Smart Engineering / Model Based Product Development. In addition, topics of the broad field "Design for X" were part of the symposium.
A total of 20 paper presentations and 11 poster presentations were presented by product development scientists from 16 different companies and universities. The exchange and constructive discussions of the research approaches of the contributing scientists were intensified by the large number of professors and industry representatives.
