Update to Science Day
By way of update (24 March 2023), we would like to inform you of a small but important change to the starting time for our Science Day meeting, next Thursday, 30th March.
Due to the current labour disruptions in France, it will unfortunately not be possible to have a site tour of the SNCF facilities. Whilst this is unfortunate, our host, Dominique Laousse, has pivoted to bring an impressive programme where we can gain insights from and directly interact with numerous leading design science colleagues from within SNCF. These colleagues represent director-level of a number SNCF functions and departments representing design. Their presentations will cover a range of design and engineering design topics that talk directly into the Design Society’s research, teaching and practice fields. To allow for both presentation by SNCF and a discussion with us from the Design Society, we would like to ask you to adjust your plans for Science Day in the following way:
- 08:45 Please arrive at SNCF by this time, at the latest
- 09:00 We start the day’s programme
The SNCF colleagues are excited about our visit and look forward to an active dialogue with us.
