DS FELLOW PROFILE
As Professor of Integrated Product Development at KTH, Margareta Norell Bergendahl’s contribution to Design Science, both in Scandinavia and internationally, has been outstanding, where she has paid particular attention to young researchers’ career development in design, not least with respect to ensuring equal gender and racial opportunities.
In addition, Prof. Norell Bergendahl is a long-time member of the Design Society, having served on both the Board of Management and the Advisory Board. She has been active in many of the DS’ SIGs and is currently heading the “Africa Design” initiative, together with Panos Papalambros.
From time to time, the Society recognises individuals for their contributions to design research, education, practice and service by bestowing Design Society Fellowships. The grade of Fellow of the Design Society recognises full members for their outstanding contributions to the Design Society through service, practice, teaching, and research. The title of Honorary Fellow of the Design Society recognises a member or non-member for their outstanding contributions to the global design community through service, practice, teaching, or research.
All Design Society members can nominate a person for Fellow status, with an annual nomination deadline of 1st December.
